There’s something about spring at Baker Park in Frederick, Maryland that feels like a sigh of relief. The air smells like fresh blooms and warm sunshine. The soft petals of the Prunus ‘Kanzan’ trees flutter in the breeze like nature’s confetti, and if you pause just long enough, you can hear the giggles of families, the splash of ducks in the creek, and the wind rustling through the cherry blossoms. It was the perfect setting for Kiley and Evan’s Baker Park maternity photos.
Baker Park was bursting with color. The Prunus ‘Kanzan’ trees were in full bloom, giving us that cotton candy-pink backdrop dreams are made of. It was a windy day, but these two didn’t complain one bit. They smiled, laughed, and embraced every gust with so much joy. Kiley was glowing at 31 weeks pregnant, and her excitement to become a girl mom was absolutely contagious!
Baker Park in Frederick, Maryland is the perfect blend of nature and charm. Between the blooming trees, the peaceful creek, and the historic charm, it’s a dream for maternity sessions. It’s also conveniently close for DMV families like Kiley and Evan, who still visit often despite their big move to Alabama.
Since moving, Kiley’s been adjusting to life outside the city. She misses the DMV—but her mindset? Inspiring. She’s chosen joy and gratitude; together, they still return often to visit family and stay connected to their roots. It made their session here, back in Maryland, feel all the more meaningful.
The wind didn’t faze them. The changes ahead don’t scare them. Kiley and Evan are walking into this new chapter with open hearts and open hands, ready for the kind of love that changes everything.
I am so grateful you invited me into this beautiful new chapter. Photographing you during this season is such a privilege. Watching your love grow from “just married” to “about to be parents” is something I’ll never forget. You’re going to be incredible. Parenthood is wild, beautiful, and yes—sometimes windy—but you’ve already shown you can weather anything together.
Hold each other close. Celebrate the little things. Your story is only just beginning, and it’s already so full of love.
P.S. These are the pages of your story your daughter will treasure one day. Let’s keep writing it together. 💕
